Environment, Infrastructure and Community Services Committee

Approve the City of Burlington Code of Good Governance, as amended in appendices A and B of city manager's report CM-09-18; and Refer the two aspirational statements recommended by Councillor Meed Ward, as amended, to the city’s Charter Action Team, the Taskforce on Anti-Bullying/Harassment and Burlington Inclusivity Advisory Committee; and Direct the City Clerk to share the approved Code of Good Governance publicly and with the city's citizen advisory committees for input, and bring back any recommended amendments.

Authorize the City Solicitor or her designate to proceed in accordance with the instructions contained in legal department report L-13-18.

Receive and file legal department report L-17-18 providing an update on First Urban Inc.'s appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board.

Move into closed session in accordance with the following provisions under the Municipal Act: • section 239 (f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose, with respect to legal department report L-13-18 regarding a Freedom of Information request for legal records; and • section 239 (e) litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality or local board, including matters before administrative tribunals, with respect to legal department report L-17-18 providing an update on First Urban Inc.'s appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board.
